TEZU | Sept 03 | Pothole ridden road of Sunpura, oldest circle of Lohit district, has been causing untold suffering to the commuters.
The 20-km PWD from Kalikhola tri-junction to Sunpura check gate is in a deplorable condition. Commuters have been finding tough time, especially patients bear the brunt of horrific situation. Students, particularly of VKV girl school and teachers are equal sufferers.
The potholes almost look like mini fish ponds which pose tough challenge even for driving light vehicles, which many a times get damaged.
“Though PWD repaired the road last year, but frequent movement of dumper and heavy vehicles ruined it. However, it has been declared as highway for MoRTH Ministry to fund for upgradation under inter- state connectivity”, PWD sources said.
